ORGANIC FORMS THAT EMBRACE THE EXTERIOR
Nature by Kronos Homes is that contact with the outdoor environment. The project pursues oxygen, relief, the breeze, and the sea from a warm latticework skin composed of ceramic baguettes.
Two elements mark its external image. First, there are white aluminum rings which, together with the typological variety and distribution between floors, generate sinuous lines that envelop the buildings and give them an exterior use. Behind them is a second skin of variable density made up of ceramic slats anchored from slab to slab, separated by a few centimeters from the façade, protecting the interior. This second ceramic skin provides shade to the façade, thus improving the thermal performance of the complex, and helps to preserve privacy between terraces while also filtering the entry of sunlight in the most difficult orientations.
On the ground floor, light tones, and curved shapes take control of paths, pools, and planters dotted with plant species with low water requirements. In the building, this design philosophy is translated into a large plinth comprising the entire ground floor finished in white trencadís which, with their soft curved shapes, direct the flow of the inhabitants and even leading to the window boxes and furniture in the hallways, creating a different atmosphere.
LANDSCAPING
The design of the Nature by Kronos Homes development was conceived as a gradient of sensations from the exterior towards the interior of the development and as a refuge of freshness and relaxation whose vortex is the swimming pool with a suggestive drop-shaped design.
Through a perimeter route, the loop, all the leisure areas of the development are connected in an accessible way, with two paddle tennis courts, a gymnasium with spa, children’s play areas, a hammock garden, and the Zen garden: a space designed for relaxation.
Following the BREEAM parameters, a careful selection of ornamental species has been made. The ones in the exterior contour and distributed in organic-shaped planters are of Mediterranean character. The ones in the surroundings of the swimming pool as the residential complex’s main comfort are tropical, adapted to the climatic conditions of Alicante.
